Thanks to everyone at Becoming, we were able to have our child, and that child is already one year old. There are hard days, of course, but being able to become a mother has made these days truly happy ones.
Neither of us had anything abnormal in our test results — our infertility was unexplained. We tried timed intercourse a number of times at another clinic, but never made any progress. Because I work, I was looking for somewhere with evening hours where the waiting time could be worked around, and somewhere close to home. That is how I found this clinic.
Looking back now, I would say you should come to Becoming even if it is far away. I am so glad I was treated here.
Dr. Li respected what we wanted, and we started IVF treatment smoothly.
Egg retrieval and fertilisation went without a hitch and were over in no time.
At the first transfer, however, the path to my uterus turned out to be curved. The doctor tried again and again, but the catheter would not go in.
Throughout it all, the nurses around me kept stroking my arm and encouraging me — it was genuinely reassuring.
From the second attempt onward, the transfer was done under anaesthesia.
The nurses told me my procedure was among the three most difficult they had ever seen…
Even so, nobody gave up, and thanks to the doctor's skill, on the third attempt I was finally able to conceive!
I owe it entirely to the efforts of Dr. Li and the nursing team.
Every one of the nurses was so warm, cheerful and kind. Even as a Japanese patient, thanks to Nurse Hung, who speaks Japanese and is wonderfully gentle, and to the other nurses who spoke slowly and clearly in Chinese so I could follow, I was able to go through treatment without worry or stress!
