How Can You Obtain Permission to Enter Taiwan for Medical Treatment in the Most Efficient Way?
If you are a resident of Hong Kong or Macau,
are you worried that applying for a medical visa to Taiwan may be time-consuming and complicated? 🤔
Becoming Reproductive Center International Medical Coordinator Gu-Mai Xiang-Ti shares her recent first-hand experience assisting Hong Kong and Macau residents in successfully applying for medical visas to Taiwan, so you can prepare the required documents with greater confidence:
- 1.Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months.
- 2.A recent two-inch, half-length color photograph with a white background taken within the past two years.
- 3.Hong Kong or Macau permanent resident identity card.
- 4.If you plan to come to Taiwan for IVF treatment,
- 5.your marriage certificate “must” be authenticated by the local Taipei Economic and Cultural Office. We recommend making an appointment with the local office in advance!
- 6.Entry and exit permits must be applied for online. There is no need to apply in person, so please do not make an unnecessary trip!
- 7.If you have changed your name, remember to upload your deed of change of name to the system as well. 7. For those born in Mainland China,
- 8.you must have continuously resided outside Mainland China for at least 4 years and currently reside in Hong Kong/ Macau,
- 9.and provide a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents. 8. If a relative will accompany you to Taiwan for medical treatment, please also provide proof of your relationship.
- 10.All of the documents listed above, including the medical treatment plan provided by Becoming Reproductive Center,
- 11.must be uploaded together to the online application system of the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior, Republic of China!
- 12.If no additional supporting documents are required, the application may be approved within 5 working days. Once the online fee is paid, you will receive an electronic copy of the permit.
