Pregnancy Is Better Planned Early; Infertility Should Be Treated Early

This morning, two Japanese couples came to the Yun-I waiting room, each pushing a baby stroller.

Both couples underwent IVF at #YunI two years ago. After giving birth and weaning their babies, they returned for a second embryo transfer.

Both have successfully become pregnant again, and fetal heartbeats have been detected 💓

Over the past few years, Dr. Hui-Po Li has noticed that when Japanese wives come to Taiwan with their husbands, once their daily lives have become stable, they tend to seek medical consultation if they feel they are having difficulty getting pregnant.

If a problem is found after evaluation, they usually begin treatment.

Fortunately, most of them have been able to achieve pregnancy after one egg retrieval and one embryo transfer.

After giving birth, while their babies are still very young, they return without hesitation for a second embryo transfer, continuing their family-building journey.

Among nearly 40 Japanese couples who underwent treatment at Yun-I, 90% were under the age of 38, and the overall pregnancy rate was 89%.

This makes me feel that when Japanese couples encounter difficulty conceiving, they seem to understand better that treatment should begin while they are still young, because the success rate is much higher.

So even though they are young, they enter treatment early and are able to make their wishes come true.

Of course, it may also be because some Japanese wives come to Taiwan with their husbands and may not be working themselves, so they have more flexibility with time.

This is different from many young women in Taiwan, who are often busy working hard and building their careers at this age, leaving little time to think about other matters.

To all women, you truly work hard 💪

But no matter what, it is true that “if you want to get pregnant, plan while you are young; if you want treatment, start as early as possible.”
