Congratulations! Former ERA News anchor Kuo Hui-Ni married Wang Tsai-Hsiang, Chairman of Chang Jia Construction, in 2014. After marriage, the couple welcomed twin daughters. At age 37, she successfully gave birth to a son yesterday, fulfilling her wish of having another child before turning 40. She revealed that her latest baby was conceived through IVF. After the age of 35, she noticed that her chances of becoming pregnant had significantly declined, prompting her to try IVF treatment. Now her dream has come true, and she has officially become a mother of three.

Kuo Hui-Ni stated:

I quietly disappeared for a while because I went off to hatch another little egg and become a mother of three! My baby boy was born safely yesterday morning, and I'm doing well too. He weighs 3,000 grams, is very healthy, and has an amazingly loud cry! Hearing his powerful cries on the delivery table moved me so much that I couldn't stop crying. I hope this sudden happy news doesn't surprise everyone too much, haha! I originally thought my son would look like me, but he actually resembles my husband even more than my daughters do. My genes have completely lost this round!

Right before the delivery, the local COVID outbreak suddenly became severe, and I was extremely nervous and anxious. I worried that the hospital might be locked down or that I might not be able to undergo my scheduled cesarean section... There were so many things to worry about. Fortunately, my husband has always been my source of reassurance. He stayed optimistic and positive and took good care of the family, allowing me to go into delivery without any worries. Thank you, my husband—I really married the right person. When I picked up my luggage and was about to leave home for the hospital, my daughters suddenly looked like they were about to cry. I held back my tears because I was afraid they would become frightened if they saw their mother crying too. The moment I stepped outside the house, I burst into tears. Pregnancy really makes your tear ducts work overtime! No matter how the outside world changes, being together as a family is the greatest happiness. After this pregnancy, I'm definitely done—I don't want to take on any more risks.

I especially want to thank my attending physician, Dr. Li Hui-Po, for taking such attentive care of me throughout the entire process. I used to think I was someone who became pregnant easily because my twin girls were conceived naturally on the first try. But I was anxious and didn't want to wait until I turned 40, so I tried to conceive naturally while also undergoing fertility treatment with Dr. Li. All I can say is that as long as Dr. Li is there, I feel completely reassured!

My baby boy was very well-behaved while he was in my belly, except that he made me nauseous and vomit from beginning to end—I was even vomiting during surgery. But compared with carrying my twin girls, when I had difficulty moving, spent several months on bed rest, felt constantly anxious, worried about premature birth, and experienced severe bone and body pain toward the end of pregnancy, carrying just one baby was so much easier!!!!

Becoming Reproductive Center practices singleton embryo transfer rather than pursuing multiple pregnancies, and that really was the right choice. This pregnancy was incredibly stable and smooth, and it greatly reduced my concerns about possible complications. I felt much more at ease and was truly able to enjoy the pregnancy experience.

I also want to thank the doctors and nurses at Chung Shan, Becoming Reproductive Center, and Taipei Medical University for accompanying me and providing prenatal care, allowing me to fulfill my wish of becoming a mother of three. Bringing a baby into the world really isn't easy. I hope everyone can have their wishes come true just like I did, and that all babies can be born safely and stay healthy. Today is my first day after delivery, and I hope I can successfully get out of bed today. I'm really scared—the last time was so painful! Please cheer me on!
