『Preparing Emotionally to Receive Donor Eggs』
Ms. Xiaoyuan, who successfully conceived through egg donation, kindly shared her experience with us.
At the time, my AMH level was only 0.02, and I was diagnosed with premature ovarian insufficiency. It felt as though my world had come to an end. I was still young and had always assumed that I would be able to become pregnant naturally, so I simply could not believe the diagnosis.
Fortunately, through a friend’s recommendation, we chose Becoming Reproductive Center from the very beginning. After both my husband and I completed our examinations, Dr. Li Hui-Po reviewed our results and suggested another option that could also help us shift our perspective: an egg donation program.
For a young couple like us, accepting donor eggs was an extremely difficult decision. We had many doubts and worries. However, whenever we felt lost, the staff at Becoming Reproductive Center listened to us with compassion, provided counseling, and helped us find a way forward. Gradually, our anxiety and concerns began to ease.
Today, I am filled with heartfelt joy and gratitude. Although our journey involved some detours, we ultimately fulfilled our dream of having a child. I hope that by sharing my experience, I can give hope to other couples who are going through a similar journey.
📌According to Taiwan’s Assisted Reproduction Act, egg donors must be at least 20 years old and under 40 years old, and must pass an evaluation by an assisted reproduction institution.
📌At Becoming Reproductive Center, egg donors are generally under 32 years old with an AMH level above 3. They undergo a range of examinations at our center to help ensure suitable egg quantity and quality, supporting recipients in fulfilling their dream of having children and building a happy family.
Perhaps life cannot be perfect for everyone, but another door may always open.
Even if ovarian function has declined or repeated embryo transfers have not been successful, Taiwan has many kind “angels” who are willing to donate sperm or eggs. Taiwan also has a well-established legal framework for assisted reproduction. If pregnancy is difficult using your own sperm or eggs, adoption is not the only option. You may also consult our center to explore the possibility of receiving donated sperm or eggs and find another path toward building a happy family.
