    The Taiwan Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology advises that current COVID-19 vaccines have been granted emergency authorization and that long-term safety data are not yet available. However, pregnancy and preparation for pregnancy are “not” considered “contraindications” to vaccination.

    For women preparing for pregnancy or pregnant women who are at high risk of exposure, vaccination is recommended when the benefits generally outweigh the risks.

    Pregnant women should primarily consider “mRNA” COVID-19 vaccines and may give priority to receiving this type of vaccine.

    The Taiwan Centers for Disease Control has removed the recommendation that people taking “contraceptive pills” or receiving “hormonal” treatment wait 28 days before receiving the AZ vaccine.

    Vaccination during the preconception period should take into consideration its benefits, risks, and individual circumstances. If you have concerns, you may discuss them with your physician and undergo an evaluation before making a decision.

    If you are unable to receive the vaccine in the short term, please take appropriate protective measures. It is recommended that you continue with your infertility examinations and treatment.
