Is There an Age Limit for Egg Freezing❗❓
Dr. Kuo-Chang Wu would like to share a topic with everyone about egg freezing.
In the past, age 38 was generally considered the threshold for egg freezing.
However, according to this recent international literature report, the timing of egg freezing can actually be moved earlier.
The benefits are:
First, fewer egg retrieval cycles may be needed.
Second, the pregnancy success rate is higher, and the cumulative pregnancy rate is also higher.
Clearly, younger patients tend to have a higher number of eggs, and the success rate also increases linearly.
In addition, younger patients have a lower rate of chromosomal abnormalities.
Based on the findings of this study, those considering egg freezing should consider planning earlier while they are still younger.
