In recent years, as demand for medical services has increased, I have noticed that patients are waiting longer and longer for appointments, while clinical spaces have become crowded and lack privacy. Limited space in medical institutions has also restricted the development of medical technology. In addition, medical information is often not transparent enough, creating barriers to communication between physicians and patients.
Therefore, I began thinking about creating a completely new and modern fertility center that could fundamentally address the issues patients complain about most: overcrowding, lack of privacy, long waiting times, and insufficient transparency of medical information.
It took two to three years to find a location that was spacious enough and conveniently accessible, as well as to assemble a strong professional team. In the summer of 2019, “Becoming Reproductive Center” finally found this location near the exit of Xingtian Temple MRT Station. We then began planning, drawing, renovation, and purchasing medical instruments and equipment. By the time construction was completed and the center officially opened, it was already March 2020.
For a brand-new fertility center, having advanced medical equipment such as a “time-lapse embryo incubator” and “microinjection system” is hardly surprising. What matters more to me is how we can provide a safe and healthy medical environment. Therefore, I installed an “Indoor Air Quality Control System” in the public areas and equipped the center with an emergency power supply, providing both our staff and patients with a safe environment in which they can work, receive medical care, and culture embryos with peace of mind during the pandemic or power shortages.
“Technology always comes from humanity.” I also believed that we needed a customized medical management system to achieve 『connecting people』—creating the best possible connection among patients, medical professionals, and the embryology laboratory. Becoming Reproductive Center therefore collaborated with an information technology company to develop an “Integrated Intelligent Medical Management System.” It provides patients with clear and real-time information, uses A I to standardize laboratory assessments, enables more precise communication and coordination among team members, strengthens physician-patient relationships, makes treatment processes smoother, and helps improve pregnancy success rates.
To connect with international reproductive medicine, Becoming Reproductive Center also formed a strategic partnership with Women’s Clinc led by renowned Hong Kong IVF specialist Dr. Leung Ka Hong. Through this platform, both sides can expand exchanges of personnel, technology, and clinical experience, integrate resources, and benefit patients in Taiwan and abroad.
Starting July 1, the government implemented the “Assisted Reproduction Treatment Subsidy” to help reduce the financial burden on people undergoing treatment. While benefiting from policies designed to support population growth, we also welcome everyone to visit “Becoming Reproductive Center” and experience a comprehensive and comfortable reproductive treatment journey.
